William Dawes

William Dawes was a rider on the famous Midnight Ride of 1775. The others were Paul Revere and Dr. Samuel Prescott. Dawes was instructed by Dr. Joseph Warren to take a different route over the Boston Neck to warn people the British were coming. Paul Revere rowed across the Charles River.
