Upper Deck

The upper deck for a seasick person like me is not the best place to be on when sailing on a ship. This is the outside of the whole ship where the crew works and others can get some fresh air and view the sea. During the storms, the Mayflower encountered it could be a very dangerous part of the ship. John Howland is a perfect example of how dangerous it can be. During a bad storm he fell overboard. Thank goodness they were able to save him. Even Tommy almost went overboard! Thanks to the brave Myles Standish he was caught before hitting the water.
