Townshend Acts

The Townshend Act were a series of taxes imposed on glass, lead, paints, paper, tea, and other imported goods into the colonies. Charles Townshend introduced it to the British Parliament. Many colonists saw this taxation as an abuse of British power and it fueled tensions between England the colonists, eventually leading to the American Revolution.
