I cannot think of a time my legs have burned more than when I climbed up those 150 steps with Robert Newman to get to the top of the Old North Church. Newman hung lanterns from the top of the steeple to signal to the people of Charlestown how the English were arriving. One lantern meant by land and two meant by sea. Today it is the oldest standing church in Boston. A fun place to visit!
