After the Battle of Bunker Hill, the British seized control of Boston. George Washington, thanks to the cannons brought by Henry Knox, was able to take back the city due to the colonists work on Dorchester Heights. With great engineering skill, and under the cover of darkness, the Americans fortified the heights. This gave an advantage due to its elevation and view of Boston Harbor. Boy, were the British surprised when they woke up in the morning!
