Cambridge

Cambridge is a historic city in Massachusetts directly north of Boston, across the Charles River. It was named after the University of Cambridge, in England, which was an important center in the study of the Puritan religion (remember the Pilgrims?). During the American Revolution, George Washington headed to Cambridge to rally thousands of troops. Henry Knox also brought the cannons he took from Fort Ticonderoga here, which helped George Washington to drive the British army out of Boston.
